What I liked:
- Taylor Kitsch and Aaron Johnson were great. Not only are they easy on the eyes but they can also act and play well off of each other.
- Laguna Beach makes for a beautiful backdrop.
- Respectable ensemble cast: Benicio Del Toro, Salma Hayek, John Travolta, Demian Bichir, Emile Hirsch, and Shea Whigham.
- Impressive special effects unless you have a weak stomach.
- Interesting story.
What I didn't like:
- The opening and ending scenes look like a designer perfume ad staring Blake Lively. Not sure what Oliver Stone was going for here.
- Everything was way over the top. It was too much and cheapened the film.
- The audience was so over it that they were laughing at scenes that were not designed to be funny.
- It was over 2 hours long.
