New Year's Eve

What I liked:

  • It's not a good sign when my favorite parts happen in the credits, so if you do see this movie, stay until the end!
  • The cast that is not on the poster is more interesting than the ones on the poster.  Keep your eyes open for Cary Elwes, Alyssa Milano, Common, Penny Marshall, Sarah Paulson, Carla Gugino, James Belushi, Joey McIntyre, Jack McGee, Yeardley Smith, Amare Stoudemire, Cherry Jones,  and Matthew Broderick!

What I didn't like:

  • There are too many characters and too many story lines.  You forget about people because they only have 5 seconds of screen time before they have to move on.
  • The story lines were not that great.  Perhaps because there were so many, it was hard to get involved in one or maybe they were just weak story lines.
  • What has happened to Oscar winners Halle Berry and Hillary Swank, and nominee Michelle Pfeiffer?  Why can't they get better roles?
  • Sofia Vergara seem to play a less funny twin sister of her character, Gloria, from Modern Family.
If you want to see a holiday movie with lots of story lines see Valentine's Day or better yet, Love Actually.  Skip NYE.
