What I liked: For a romantic comedy, this movie was pretty good.
- It has a fun soundtrack. It starts off old school with Color Me Bad and Outkast. Then it comes back to the present with Phoenix and The Temper Trap. What’s not to love?
- Natalie Portman is the girl that you want or want to be. She’s funny, smart, and sexy. Her character has flaws but overall is very relatable.
- Ashton Kutcher is pretty adorable in this movie. If you liked him in A Lot Like Love, you will like him in this.
- Kevin Kline!
- I like romantic comedies that are rated PG-13 or R. It usually means that the dialogue is more true to life as oppose to a PG ”RomCom” that makes everyone sound like they live in a Disney movie.
What I didn’t like: It was a bit predictable and had your typical clichés…but isn’t that what romantic comedies are all about?
