What I liked:
- Robert Pattinson looks much better with a tan and a proper haircut.
- Hal Holbrook generated a lot emotion for his 5 minutes of screen time.
- Christoph Waltz was perfect as usual.
- The costume design was lovely.
- The cinematography was beautiful.
What I didn't like:
- Reese Witherspoon was not the right actress for this part.
- Reese and Robert had zero chemistry together.
- The special effects were not that great when it came to the all important tent scene at the end.
- The didn't develop the most interesting characters like Walter and Camel, and their relationship with Jacob.
- If you had not read the book, the scene in Chicago could be confusing.
Read the book or listen to the audio version. They are both much better than the movie.
